PLASMA

Plasma is the fourth state of matter, consisting of ionized gas with charged particles, and it plays a vital role in stars, fusion research, and various industrial applications.

LASER

Laser stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation, a coherent and focused beam of light with various applications in science, industry, medicine, and communication

HV PULSED POWER

HV pulsed power involves generating and discharging high-voltage electrical energy in short bursts, enabling applications in pulsed lasers, particle accelerators, and electromagnetic simulations.

ELECTRON BEAMS

Electron beams are streams of accelerated electrons used in a wide range of applications, from electron microscopy and particle accelerators to welding and radiation therapy.

ABOUT US

POWER BEAM SOCIETY OF INDIA

The Power Beam Society of India was founded in the year 2003 to promote, to advance the awareness and to spread the highly specialised areas of Electron, Laser and Plasma Beam Technologies across the country. The principal objective of the Society is to bring together scientists and technologists working on equipment development and applications of power beams.

Among the various activities, the Society has organized symposia and schools in the PBAMP series (Power Beams and Material Processing), SEBTA series (Symposium on Electron Beam Technology and Applications), PPT Series (Schools on Pulsed Power Technology) at BARC, VJTI and other research centres.
